A
large part of the health of a person with diabetes depends on how he
or she manages the disease everyday. Even seeing a doctor, dietitian
or diabetes educator every 3 months still leaves 99% of the management
of diabetes to the person with the disease. Changing eating habits,
being active most days, checking blood glucose, taking medication and
managing weight are not always easy to do on your own. For some, joining
a support group can help!
